Birth doula serivces

Research shows that mothers using doulas, have shorter births and there is less need for medical interventions. 

I will meet with you for an initial interview free of charge. The initial interview can be at a coffee shop or other quiet meeting place. This interview is important so that we can all decide if we are a good fit for each other. If you decide to hire me, I will meet with you for a total of 3 more times prior to the big day. This consists of 2 prenatal visits at your home and 1 doctors visit. Our first visit at your home is when we will go over what you learned in your birth classes, write/review your birth plan, and answer any questions you may have.This meeting gives us a chance to become comfortable with each other’s company. At our second visit I will acompany you to a doctors appointment . I Feel it is important to meet your doctor a head of time in order to make sure we are all on the same page. Then at our third visit we will discuss any questions or concerns that you may still have. I will also provide  phone support from the signing of our contract until the postpartum visit. At the time your labor begins, I will provide phone support and when you are ready to transition to the hospital/birth center I will meet you there . I will remain with you through your entire labor and delivery. After you have given birth, I will assist you in beginning breastfeeding and make sure you are comfortable prior to leaving. We will then meet again for a postpartum visit where we will reflect on your labor and delivery, review breastfeeding and answer any remaining questions.
